The reason behind non-seasonal rains in Bangladesh

Bangladesh and Myanmar, the two enjoy a fair-weather condition and generally rains during this time of the year do not occur much in both the countries.

The weather generally remains pleasant with only a few occurrences of fog. However, this year, the notorious weather played its part and both the countries recorded some unseasonal and unusual rains.

In the past day, both Bangladesh and Myanmar recorded some rains though these showers were mainly confined to Myanmar and mostly the adjoining parts of Bangladesh were affected by the rains.

As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these widespread rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and adjoining regions.

A trough from this system is also extending in northeastwards. In the wake of this, both the countries received these unseasonal rains.

Normally, both the countries receive rain with the effect of a series of weather systems prevailing in the Andaman Sea.

These weather systems travel across the Gulf of Thailand or the South China Sea or the Malay Peninsula and after affecting Malaysia, enter the Andaman Sea, thereby affecting both Bangladesh and Myanmar, according to Skymet Weather.

Further, now also fairly widespread rains of moderate intensity are expected to continue in Myanmar and adjoining regions of Bangladesh for another 24 hours. A few places may even record some heavy rains as well.
