A schoolboy, who lost his limb after a human hauler hit his motorcycle on Bypass Bridge in the district town on Friday afternoon, died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital at night.
Police said the accident took place around 4:30 pm as the human hauler hit the two-wheeler leaving Niloy’s one leg severed from the thigh.
Niloy, a class IX student of Naogaon KD Government High School, was taken to Sadar Hospital immediately after the mishap. Reports add that Niloy’s three friends were also boarding the motorbike.
As his condition was critical, doctors referred him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), but he died on the way around 8:30 pm, reports UNB.
