The government is set to start a sales drive of essential items for the year 2023 on Tuesday.
The state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) in a statement on Monday said it will sell essential commodities in different parts of the country through its dealers and at fixed places in association with the city corporations and district and upazila administrations.
Soybean oil, sugar and lentils will be available at Tk 110, Tk 60 and Tk 70 per kilogram respectively at the sale points, it added.
Each family can buy a maximum 2.0 kg of soybean oil, lentils and onion and maximum one kg sugar.
