Three people were killed and 15 others injured when a bus and a truck crashed head-on in Tangail’s Kalihati.
Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station OC Asabur Rahman said the incident took place on the Bangabandhu Bridge on the Dhaka Tangail Highway around 7:50am on Sunday.
The injured persons were whisked off to Tangail Sadar Hospital for treatment. Police have yet to reveal their identities.
“A Mim Transport bus heading from Rangpur to Dhaka crashed headfirst into a truck from Chinamati heading in the opposite direction, killing three on the spot,” OC Rahman said.
A bdnews24.com report says police went to the scene and rescued the injured with help from locals. One of the injured is in critical condition, police said.
