Subir Nandi to be taken to Singapore

The ailing singer Subir Nandi, currently under treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), is set to be flown to Singapore in accordance with the prime minister’s instructions.

An air ambulance carrying the artiste will leave for Singapore on Monday, said Ashraful Alam Khokon, the prime minister’s deputy press secretary.

He said, “Singer Subir Nandi will be flown to Singapore on an air ambulance as instructed by the prime minister.”

The Ekushey Award-winning singer Subir Nandi was admitted to CMH on Apr 14 after suffering a heart attack en route to Dhaka from Sylhet, reports bdnews24.com.

 He was subsequently transferred to the hospital’s Coronary Care Unite as his condition worsened.

The 66-year-old has been battling kidney ailments for a while. He had been undergoing dialysis on a regular basis.
