A day labourer was killed after being hit by a truck on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway in Bypass Rail gate area of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Somoy Lalu, 60, son of late Belal Uddin.
Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said the truck hit Somoy around 6 am while he was crossing the road, leaving him dead on the spot, reports UNB.
