A four-year-old child has died after he was struck by a truck at Nawabganj Upazila in Dhaka.
The accident took place at Baruakhali neighbourhood on Saturday night, said local police Sub-Inspector Kamrul Hasan.
The child was identified as Saim Hossain, reports bdnews24.
When Saim’s mother was on her way home with the boy, the Bandhura-bound truck from Kashiakhali Beribadh ran over him, killing him on the spot, SI Hasan said citing witnesses.
After the incident, locals apprehended the driver and turned him over to the police. Police seized the vehicle and recovered the body.
