Bangladesh has a tremendous prospect of sending skilled workers to Japan as both the population and workforce in Japan are gradually shrinking.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Rabab Fatima said this on Tuesday during a meeting at the Embassy in Tokyo with the entrepreneurs of Japan-based recruiting agencies to discuss the prospect of Japan's job market for Bangladesh and the way forward, reports UNB.
"We've the tremendous prospect of migrating skilled workforce to Japan. We can capitalise on this prospect through effective policy, strategy, apt planning and management," she said.
She said knowledge on Japanese language and technical areas are essential for employment in Japan's job market, according to the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo.
The envoy emphasised employing more workers from Bangladesh to Japan at the minimum expense as per the government's rules and regulations, and highlighted the steps taken by Bangladesh government in this regard.
The participating agency owners expressed their views and ideas at the meeting.
They said IT, caregiver, construction, agriculture, shipbuilding, food processing are the prospective sectors for having jobs in Japan.
They also highlighted the problems and requested the Ambassador to look into the matter.
