Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) is going to add three new vessels to its fleet.
The ships, three oil tankers and three bulk carriers, have 39,000 tonnes of capacity each.
Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan came up with the information at a meeting BSC.
Two bulk carriers will arrive here by July or August and three oil tankers by November to December 2018 while the bulk carrier by February 2019 from China with a total cost of Tk 14.48 billion.
According to UNB, a massive fabrication ceremony of the ships was held in October last at the shipyard in China.
