Sehri, Iftar timings for fasting in Bangladesh released

The Islamic Foundation has published the timetable for Sehri and Iftar for Muslim devotees during the holy month of Ramadan.

Subject to moon sighting, the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on April 14 or 15, says a statement issued by the Foundation on Sunday.

The foundation has prepared a schedule for Sehri and Iftar from April 14 at the start of Ramadan, said the statement.

On March 13, the Islamic Foundation finalised the timings for Sehri and Iftar for the month of Ramadan.

As per the schedule, the last time of Sehri in Dhaka on April 14 is fixed at 4:15 am and the time for Iftar is 6:23 pm for the first Ramadan.

However, in accordance with the distance, people in different parts of the country will observe Sehri and Iftar by adding up to 11 minutes and subtracting up to 10 minutes in line with Dhaka's timing, the Islamic Foundation said.
