SAIA Customs officials nab Chinese man with 2.8kg gold

Customs officials of Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA) on Wednesday arrested a Chinese national with 24 gold bars.

The arrestee was identified as Fan Rongui, reports UNB.

Nur Uddin Milon, deputy commissioner of Chattogram Customs House, said Fan arrived in the port city from Dubai on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight in the morning.

A team of customs officials stopped the Chinese man and recovered the gold bars hidden in a charger light.

A case was filed at Patenga Police Station.
