The ninth meeting of the heads of SAARC Statistical Organisations (SAARCSTAT) will be held at La Meridian hotel in Dhaka from April 11-13.
Department of Statistics and Information Management Acting Secretary Sourendra Nath Chakraborty will join the inaugural function as the chief guest, as per a BSS report citing a press release.
Bangladesh is hosting the three-day meeting and delegates from SAARC member states except Afghanistan and other international organisations like Paris 21 and RSDA (Regional Strategy for Development of Statistics) will take part in the meeting.
The meeting will discuss SAARC Regional Statistical System Review, agriculture statistics, trade statistics, merchandise and services, project concepts and standard of health statistics.
