Three people were killed and two others injured as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying them collided with a truck on Mirerbazar Vogra bypass road at Pubail in Gazipur city on Wednesday.
One of the deceased was identified as Shukur Ali, the driver of the auto-rickshaw and son of Majid Mia hailing from Kazirteck area in the city.
Sub-inspector of Naojor Highway Police Camp Zinnah said the truck collided with the Chourasta-bound auto-rickshaw around 12:30 pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured, UNB reported.
The injured were admitted to Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital.
