At least four people have died in a head-on collision between a bus and an autorickshaw on Panchdona-Tongi road in the Chakshal area of Narsingdi.
Autorickshaw driver Mojibur Rahman, 34, passenger Amir Hamza, 37, and two other unidentified people in the smaller vehicle died after the accident on Thursday morning.
Md Rakibuzzaman, chief of Madhabdi Police Station, said the Dhaka-bound bus of Ena Paribahan from Sylhet collided with the autorickshaw travelling from Ghorsshal to Panchdona, reports bdnews24.com.
Two of the victims died on the spot and four were injured, Rakibuzzaman said. Two of the injured died on the way to hospital in Dhaka.
The bodies of the victims who died on the spot were kept at Narsingdi Sadar Police Station.
