Two motorcyclists died in a road accident in the city's Gendaria area early Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Russel, 26, Salahuddin, 27.
The accident took place as a covered van hit a motorcycle in front of a pharmacy at Samibagh around 2:00 am, that left all three motorcyclists injured, said Sub Inspector Abu Jafar of Gendaria Police Station.
UNB said the injured were whisked off to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared two of them dead.
Police arrested Jashim Hawlader, driver of the covered van, in this connection.
