At least three people were killed and five others injured as a bus hit a stationary truck in Habirbari Seedstore bazar in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Tofayel Ahmmed, 25, hailing from Sadar upazila and Faruk Ahmmed, hailing from Ishwarganj upazila, reports UNB.
Rakibul Hasan, in-charge of Bhaluka fire service, said the accident took place around 7:30 am when the driver of Mymensingh-bound bus 'Soukhin Paribahan' lost control over the steering and hit the truck, leaving the passengers dead on the spot and five others injured.
The injured were admitted to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex.
