RMG factory in Dhaka catches fire

A fire that broke out at a readymade garment factory (RMG) at Dhaka’s Kamalapur area on Sunday morning was doused, said fire service officials.

Arshad Hossain, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, told The Financial Express that the fire originated at the RMG factory named Oli Garment adjacent to Kamalapur BRTC Bus Depot at 7:40 am and was extinguished at 11:28 am after the frantic efforts.

 A total of 10 firefighting units went to the spot and doused the blaze.

Cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately.

Apart from this, no casualties were reported.
