A fire broke out at a readymade garment factory, Asiana Garment Industry, on Wapda Road in Rampura area of Dhaka city on Sunday noon.
Ten units are working to put out the blaze, Fire Service Control Room official Mahfuzur Rahman said.
The fire began around 1:45pm on Sunday on the sixth floor of the 12-storey ML Tower at the factory, the fire service said.
The floor is occupied by an Asiana Garment factory’s warehouse, Rampura Police Station OC Proloy Kumar Saha said, reports bdnews24.
“Most of the workers were outside on their lunch break,” he said.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed. There have been no reported casualties.
