Religious Affairs Secretary Md Nurul Islam and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus.
They have been undergoing treatment at Dhaka Central Police Hospital since Saturday, said Anwar Hossain, the senior information officer of religious affairs ministry.
According to sources, they have no significant physical ailments and both of them are in stable condition.
The total fatalities increased to 3,907 in the country while the total number of confirmed cases rose to 292,625, according to the Director General of Health Services.
And, some 2,952 new patients made recovery on Saturday rising the recovery rate to 60% first time in the country.
