Members of the National Moon Sighting Committee will sit in a meeting today (Wednesday) to ascertain the commencement of holy Ramadan, the lunar month of self-purification through fasting and abstinence.
The meeting will be held at the conference room of Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office in the capital at 7:00pm, news agency UNB reports citing a PID handout .
Religious Affairs Minister and moon sighting committee Chairman Principal Matior Rahman will preside over the meeting.
