Bangladesh Railways (BR) has stopped selling its own brand of bottled drinking water ‘Rail Pani’ on trains following media reports regarding the quality.

According to a press release, the authorities will re-market the water after obtaining Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) examination certificates, reports BSS.

The press release described the report on the quality of ‘Rail Pani’ as purpose-oriented.

It mentioned that the ‘Rail Pani’ of Shyamoli Food and Beverage Pvt. Ltd is certified bottled water by BSTI and BUET.
