Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested eight people from Moghbazar and Mowchak areas of Dhaka city on Friday night allegedly for spreading rumours on social media over the Sunday's national election.
A team of RAB-2 conducted drives in the areas and arrested them, according to a RAB source, reports UNB.
The RAB team also seized video making equipment, laptop and mobile phone sets from their possession.
