The RAB has arrested two people on charges of forging websites to spread fake news.
Kamal Hossain, 23, and Md Alamin, 30, were arrested in Gazipur and Dhaka, said RAB spokesman Mizanur Rahman on Wednesday.
The arrests came ahead of the Dec 30 election, reports bdnews24.
The government is battling the menace of fake news websites that pirate the logos and designs of Prothom Alo, Bangla Tribune, BBC Bangla and other news providers. Cyber frauds then spread false news on Facebook.
