Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged smuggler and seized 21,500 pieces of Yaba tablets from Moijjertek in the port city Chittagong on Saturday night.
The arrestee was identified as Asdar Ali, 70, son of Ajgar Ali of Motihar in Rajshahi district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB set up a check-post in front of Shofi Tower in Karnaphuli area around 11:45pm and arrested Asdar Ali along with the Yaba tablets, said Mimtanur Rahman, senior assistant Director of Rab-7.
A case was filed with Karnaphuli Police Station on Sunday, reports UNB.
