Quantum Foundation has inaugurated its own ambulances to further services for the Covid-19 dead in the greater Chattogram region.

Organised by Quantum Foundation Chattogram Centre, the inaugurating ceremony took place in the port city on Saturday, according to a press release.

Mohammad Muslim, additional DIG (Tourist Police) Chattogram Division, and Mujibur Rahman, advisory coordinator of Quantum Foundation Chattogram Centre, among others, were present during the ceremony.

Until it recently bought its own ambulances, Quantum Foundation in the greater Chattogram region had been providing the service for the Covid-19 dead, using ambulances on rent.

Quantum Foundation, which carries out its services on donations from members and well-wishers, has so far performed funerals of 866 people across the country during the coronavirus outbreak.
