Private bus operators have started selling tickets in advance for the home goers ahead of Eid-ul-Azha today.
The sale started at 6:00am as per the decision Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners’ Association (BBTOA) took on July 16.
A Hanif Paribahan employee said they will be selling tickets until 6:00pm from 6:00am every day before the Eid Day.
According to reports, ticket aspirants have started standing in queues in front of bus counters at Gabtoli Bus Terminal in the city since 4:00am.
Eid-ul-Azha is expected to be celebrated in the second week of August (August 12 tentatively).
According to the BTOA, more than 10.0 million people travel home by bus ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha altogether from Dhaka every year.
