Law Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday said the government has initiated the process of bringing acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman back to the country.
Tarique is now staying in London.
The law minister said: “The government has started the process of brining Tarique back to the country and paved the way for it.”
He made the remark while addressing the inaugural ceremony of 38th basic course of assistant judges at the Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) in the capital Dhaka.
The initiative will be taken soon to settle the appeals of the convicted war criminals, he said.
Apart from this, he said it is very important to encourage people to settle disputes outside courts to reduce the logjam of cases.
