FBCCI, DCI stress private sector’s involvement for underprivileged children

Collaborative efforts of the private sector are essential for flourishing the talents of the country’s underprivileged children, said speakers at a dialogue.

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI) took part in the dialogue on Sunday.

The institutional dialogue, held at FBCCI Conference room, discussed various programmes and activities undertaken by DCI and the apex trade body for betterment of distressed children.

Executive Director of DCI Dr Ehsanul Hoque presented a key note paper on the NGO’s achievements in its drive in reversing the fate of the underprivileged children in the country.

Senior Vice-President of FBCCI Sheikh Fazle Fahim moderated the programme.

“If we work (private sector) together and cooperate each other then it will be easily possible for us to create more enlightened people through patronising more disadvantaged/ underprivileged children mainly in the field of their education,” said President of the FBCCI Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin).
