President to open Int’l Folklore Festival at Netrokona on Wednesday

President M Abdul Hamid is scheduled to inaugurate the first International Folklore Festival on Mukterpara ground in Nekrokona district town on Wednesday.

“The President will open the International Folklore Festival-2018 in Netrokona tomorrow afternoon,” President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters.

On his visit, the President is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Sheikh Kamal IT Park on Old Hospital Road of the town.

The ‘Greater Mymensingh Cultural Forum’ (GMCF) will organise the folklore festival with the participation of noted folklore researchers and scholars of different countries, reports BSS.

Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Mustafa Jabbar, also the president of GMCF, will preside over the inaugural function scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm on the day.
