President, PM mourn casualties in US-Bangla plane crash

President Abdul Hamid expressed deep shock and sorrow at the casualties in a plane crash of Bangladesh's US-Bangla Airlines in Nepal's Tribhuban International Airport.

The president prayed for the departed souls of the air crash victims and conveyed his deep sympathy to their bereaved family members.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also expressed deep shock at the incident.

"The prime minister is keeping round-the-clock contact in this regard," said PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim to BSS.

The prime minister is currently in Singapore on a four-day official visit.

Karim said the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of the crash victims and conveyed profound sympathy to their family members.

She also wished early recovery of the injured, the press secretary said.
