President Md Abdul Hamid invited Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Wednesday to join in the ongoing dialogue on the formation of the Election Commission (EC).
Senior joint -secretary general of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi received the President's invitation letter for joining the dialogue, according to party sources.
In the letter, the President has invited the BNP to join in the dialogue at 4:00 pm on January 12.
Earlier the national standing committee of BNP has termed the dialogue nothing but 'meaningless' saying that the party would not take part in the dialogue.
