President Md Abdul Hamid on Tuesday hosted an Iftar Mahfil for Islamic scholars, injured freedom fighters, family members of Birshresthas, orphans, officials of Bangabhaban.
Before the iftar, the President exchanged pleasantries with the guests and enquired about their well-being, reports BSS.
Earlier, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country.
Pesh Imam of Bangabhaban Jame Mosque Maulana M Saiful Kabir conducted the munajat.
President’s spouse Rashida Kanam, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed, State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah, State Minister for Social Welfare Sharif Ahmed, Rejwan Ahammad Toufiq, MP, a good number of war-wounded freedom fighters, eminent Islamic scholars, orphans from different child homes, and officials and employees of the Bangabhaban attended the Iftar party.
