President Abdul Hamid on Saturday hosted doa and milad mahfil at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban after Zohr prayers on the occasion of Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, the anniversary of the emergence of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM).
Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda, diplomats of different Muslim countries, Members of the Parliament, political leaders and high civil and military officials also attended the milad mahfil.
Pesh Imam of Bangabhaban Jame Mosque Maulana Saiful Kabir conducted munajat after the milad mahfil, reports UNB.
Special doa (munajat) was offered seeking divine blessings for peace and prosperity of the country, welfare of the people and greater unity of the Muslim Ummah across the world.
