President Abdul Hamid on Saturday urged all to ensure so that everyone can enjoy the festivities of Eid, reports UNB.
“After a month-long siyam practice, Eid-ul-Fitr brings the messages of pure joy and pleasure for mankind.
Eid builds the ties of harmony, amity and unity among people of all classes and professions.
If you can share your joy with all, Ramadan and Eid will be more significant,” he said.
The President was addressing a reception hosted by him at Bangabhaban in the morning on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
President’s wife Rashida Khanom and other members of his family stood by him when he greeted the guests.
Mentioning that Islam is a religion of peace and welfare, the President said there is no place for hatred, spite, violence and localism in it.
“Islam upholds the spirit of human values, mutual coexistence, absolute tolerance, equality and universal welfare.”
He expressed the hope that the essence and inherent significance of Islam for human emancipation will widen further and the world will be filled with peace and amicable behaviour.
