An indigenous girl was found dead at her house in Onglari Karbari Para of Lama upazila in Bandarban on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mya Hla U Marma, 19, daughter of Kalong Marma. She appeared in this year's HSC examination.
Getting no response from Mela's room after repeated attempts, her father informed the matter to police, said Oppela Raju Naha, officer-in-charge of Lama Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for an autopsy, reports UNB.
The reason behind the death could not be known immediately, the OC added.
