Police have recovered the bodies of a woman and her child from a house in Sabujbagh of Dhaka.
The deceased are 25-year-old Shantona Akter and her daughter Mahfuza, around a year old.
They lived in a tin-roofed house in the neighborhood. On information, Police rushed to the spot on Tuesday.
“Shantona’s body was hanging from a ceiling fan. Her daughter was found dead in bed,” police said.
Shantona’s husband Mamun works for an internet service provider.
“Mamun eloped with his sister-in-law two days back. This resulted in tension which might have led Shantona to commit suicide after killing the child,” bdnews24 said quoting locals.
