Police are still trying to unearth the motive and evidence behind death of Mosarat Jahan Munia, whose dead body was recovered from an apartment in Gulshan on Tuesday.
Investigation supervising officer of the case, deputy commissioner of Gulshan Zone Sudip Kumar Chakrabarty told the newsmen that they were acting on all probabilities regarding the incident.
Everything would be clearer when police would get the post mortem report; he said adding that the move is underway to conduct DNA sample collection, viscera examination.
Besides, the police are also trying to reveal the motif if the victim had committed suicide, he said.
The police official also said they also recovered six diaries written by Munia from the apartment, which could be important evidence for the investigation regarding her death.
Sayem sobhan sought anticipatory bail from the High Court in the case.
His bail petition is on the cause-list of the High Court bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman as item no 14. The cause-list is scheduled to be heard today (Thursday).
