A couple was found dead at their rented flat in West Nakhalpara area of Dhaka city on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Asmat Ali, 45, and his wife Farzana, 36, of the area, reports UNB.
Mohamamd Kamluddin, inspector (investigation) of Tejgaon Police Station, said the couple had an altercation on Thursday evening over a family feud.
Rifat, the elder son of the couple, then asked them to compromise.
On Friday morning, Rifat noticed his father's body hanging from the ceiling of the house while his mother was lying on the floor. Later, he informed police who recovered the bodies in the morning.
Police suspected that Farzana might have killed after being hit on her head during scuffle between the couple and Asmat Ali might have killed himself after that.
