Police didn’t arrest Habib-un-Nabi: DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah said BNP is spreading out propaganda over the detention of Dhaka South BNP President Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel.

He came up with the remarks while replying a query to journalists at his office in the city on Wednesday.

"I have talked to all units of DMP. No unit of DMP arrested or detained him. So I can say that no one of DMP arrested him," said Asaduzzaman while talking to reporters at DMP headquarters.

He also said that the allegations of BNP are false. They are making false allegations to confuse people.

He urged to the people not to be confused in BNP's rumors.

Earlier, BNP alleged that police detained president of Dhaka south unit of BNP Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel.

While talking about Khaleda's verdict, the police official said that all types of chaotic situation will be handled strictly. All the preparations have been taken, according to UNB report.

Plain clothes police, detective police, City SB and quick response teams will be remain alert, said the DMP Commissioner adding that ban has been imposed on holding processions from 4 am to until further notice centering the verdict on Thursday.

He also requested to the city people to follow DMP order.
