Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has released a special commemorative postage stamp, an opening day cover, and a data card marking 70 years of Amar Ekushey and the Golden Jubilee of observing Amar Ekushey in the independent Bangladesh.
She unveiled the Tk 10 commemorative postage stamp, a Tk 10 opening day cover and a Tk 5 data card at a ceremony at her official residence Ganobhaban.
A special canceller was used on the occasion, reports UNB.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar, Prime Minister’s Office secretary Md Tofazzel Hossain Miah, and Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion.
The stamp, first-day cover, and data card would be sold from the Philatelic Bureau of Dhaka GPO and would also be available at other GPOs and head post offices across the country later.
