PM mourns death of ex-MP Mizanur Rahman

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the president of Awami League, has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former MP from Sherpur-2 Mizanur Rahman.

He was also Sherpur district AL advisory council member and a valiant freedom fighter.

Mizanur Rahman was the former general secretary of Nokla upazila Awami League unit under Sherpur district, reports UNB.  

The Prime Minister on Monday prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mizanur breathed his last this morning at a hospital in Mymensing at the age of 80.

He left his wife, one son, one daughter, family members and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Meanwhile, AL general secretary and Roads and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Mizanur Rahman.
