Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Chittagong on Sunday morning to join the annual President’s Parade of Bangladesh Navy in the port city.
The premier is scheduled to visit the Chasma Hill residence of late former Chittagong mayor and City Awami League president ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury in the afternoon to express her deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
Veteran leader Mohiuddin Chowdhury passed away on December 15 at the age of 73.
District administration authorities said the Prime Minister reached the Naval Academy around 10:10 am.
PM Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to attend programmes organized by the Navy till 3:30 pm, sources said.
