PM hosts iftar for war-maimed FFs, orphans

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday hosted an iftar for war-wounded freedom fighters (FFs), orphans, physically-challenged children and alem-ulema (Islamic scholars) at her official residence Ganobhaban.

The Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their wellbeing.  Later, Sheikh Hasina had iftar with orphans and children with disablilities.  Before the iftar, a munajat was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.

Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mokarram National Mosque Mufti Mawlana Mizanur Rahman conducted the munajat.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Religious Affairs Minister Principal Matiur Rahman, Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon and noted Alem and Imam of Sholakia Mawlana Farid Uddin Masud, among others, were present in the programme, reports UNB.
