Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday received donation and blankets for her Relief and Welfare Fund at a simple ceremony held in the capital.
Twenty government and private organisations and individuals handed over cheques of over Tk 42.5 million to PM Hasina at her Tejgaon office, according a BSS report.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda, Principal Secretary Nojibur Rahman, and Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim were present on the occasion, reports UNB.
Later, President of Bangabandhu Taxtile Engineering and member of Jamalpur District Awami League Engineer Mohammad Mozaffar Hossain also donated 5000 pieces of blanket to the Prime Minister's relief fund.
