PM continues using drawings of children with special needs in greetings cards

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been using drawings of children with special needs in her greeting cards on the occasion of different festivals since she assumed state power for the second time in 2009.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is using different drawings of 'special child' collected from across the country in her official greeting cards marking different festivals like Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Bangla New Year and English New Year since she assumed the office in 2009," PM's Assistant Press Secretary MM Emrul Kayas said, reports BSS.

“The premier has used drawings of 15 children with special needs in her official greeting cards on the occasion of the Bangla New Year 1429 and drawings of 11 similar children for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr this year,” he added.

“The artists of the selected drawings have been given Tk 100,000 each as a complementary prize,” Kayas said.

The prime minister sends the greeting cards featured with the drawings of differently-abled children to Jatiya Sangsad (JS) speaker, chief justice, cabinet members, members of parliament, political leaders, dignitaries, professionals, military and civil officers, ambassadors or high commissioners of different countries, chief of international organisations and heads of state or heads of government of the countries, which have diplomatic relations with Bangladesh.
