Passengers’ harassment at airports won’t be tolerated: Minister

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Shahjahan Kamal on Wednesday said the government will not tolerate any harassment of passengers especially expatriate Bangladeshis at the country’s airports.

“We are receiving a huge volume of remittance from our expatriates working abroad. It’s not acceptable if they are harassed at the country’s airports,” he said while speaking at a meeting organised by Biman Sramik League at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the city.

Noting that there are different kinds of complains regarding luggage handling at HSIA, the minister urged the Biman’s workers to carry out ground handling works with utmost sincerity and honesty for ensuring customers care, reports BSS.

Presided over by Biman Sramik League President Mushikur Rahman, the meeting was also addressed by Jatiya Sramik League President Alhaj Sukkur Mahmud.
