Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) must be informed about any indoor programmes organised on the night of December 31 to celebrate the new year whereas no outdoor celebration is allowed.
Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Asaduzzaman Mia said this while briefing media about security measures ahead of the new year.
Asaduzzaman said that all kinds of programs are prohibited in open places to celebrate the 31st night. Everything has to be inside on permission, but not on the roofs.
Law enforcers will beef up security in the city. Additional police forces will be deployed.
Besides, Bomb Disposal Unit will also remain on standby in important places, the DMP commissioner added.
