The Ministry of Education has directed all the government-run primary schools to admit students without having any enrolment test due to the prevailing coronavirus pandemic situation in the country.

Government-run schools, from pre-primary to fifth class, will admit students registering children's names, addresses, and other necessary information at the registrar book.

And, the admission process to those schools must be completed by February, the Directorate of Primary Education instructed the field level officials on January 4 in this regard.

All children in the catchment area of government primary schools must be admitted to schools, and teachers will ensure the admission of children by following the government health guidelines, it added.

Sick teachers-students, staff, child-bearing teachers have been asked to refrain from attending school.

However, the school authorities will take special measures to ensure admission of sick students, it continued.
