The body of a newborn was recovered from a toilet of Barguna General Hospital on Thursday morning.
Hospital superintendent Dr Md Sohrab Uddin said cleaner Hasina Begum of the hospital spotted the body lying on the floor of a female toilet around 10:00am while cleaning it.
Hasina said, "I was completely shocked seeing the newborn's body and immediately informed the hospital authorities about it."
Police recovered the body and sent it to morgue for an autopsy, said Assistant Police Superintendent of Barguna Md Nazmul Islam, reports UNB.
