Vice Admiral Abu Mozaffar Mohiuddin Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury took the charges of Bangladesh Navy as its chief on Saturday.
Outgoing navy chief Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed handed over the command to the new chief at Naval Headquarters in the city, said an Inter Service Public Relation press release.
All area commanders of the Navy and senior Naval officers were present at the ceremony, reports UNB.
